News / Pupils visit Westminster Archives

Posted Wednesday 28 March 2012

Pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 visited the Westminster Archives as part of a project centred on the Olympics. The whole school is gearing up for a bumper summer with Jubilee as well as Olympic celebrations in the offing, but as part of the build-up, each class has taken part in an Olympic-themed activity run by the staff at the Westminster Archives. Pupils have undertaken work on material at the archive in the form of maps and documents relating to London's recent past, especially in relation to the area in East London that has been re-developed to create the Olympic site. Meanwhile, in school, Archive staff have been working with Reception upwards to get everyone into the Olympic spirit.

Roll on the Games!
